About nature & parks tours in Singapore

Roughly half of Singapore is under green cover, and almost none of it is accidental. The island has been planned as a garden city since 1967, which is why a nature tour here looks nothing like a nature tour anywhere else in Southeast Asia: you walk from a metro station into a conserved rainforest fragment, or from a shopping district into a cooled conservatory holding plants from the Mediterranean and the tropical highlands.

Our two nature tours cover the pair of sites that define that story. Gardens by the Bay is the engineered version — 101 hectares of reclaimed land, the Supertree Grove, and the Cloud Forest with its 35-metre indoor waterfall. The Singapore Botanic Gardens is the historical one: 160 years old, the first tropical garden inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and home to the National Orchid Garden and a surviving patch of primary rainforest.

Both are walking tours at an unhurried pace, with plenty of stops in the shade. Guides are STB-licensed and carry the horticultural background to explain what you are actually looking at — why the Supertrees vent heat from the biomass boilers, or how the Vanda Miss Joaquim became a national flower.

Nature & Parks tours — FAQ

How long does a Singapore nature tour take?

Between two and four hours. The Botanic Gardens walk runs 2–3 hours; Gardens by the Bay takes 3–4 hours because it includes both the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories.

Can I visit Gardens by the Bay and the Botanic Gardens on the same day?

Yes, and it is a common request. Pair the Botanic Gardens in the morning with Gardens by the Bay in the late afternoon so you finish at the Garden Rhapsody light show after dark. We arrange the transfer between them as part of a custom itinerary.

Are the nature tours suitable in the rain?

Mostly, yes. Showers in Singapore are usually short and heavy rather than all-day, and both conservatories at Gardens by the Bay are fully indoors. Guides carry umbrellas and reorder the route to keep you under cover.
